Remember Scarlett?
Well, this week she was rudely disrespected.
I was taking my daughter to her orthodonist appointment. I pulled into the parking lot and waited as a car ahead slowed down. Then out of nowhere, a car parked directly in front of my left front bumper, pulls out of the parking spot coming straight at me!
I couldn't go forward or he would have hit my driver's side door. I couldn't go backwards or I would have gone back into the busy street. So I honked my little Toyota horn as hard as I could. And the... person... still hit me!
He pulled forward, I moved up, and then he proceeded to speed out of the parking lot! I jumped out of my car to try to get the license, but couldn't get all the numbers. So I hollered at my daughter to go into the orthodonist's office and I jumped back in the car. I pulled out of the parking lot trying to catch up to him.
At this point, I hadn't had time to look at my bumper. I only knew that if there was any damage, I needed to have someone to take care of it.
Three blocks down I conceeded defeat. I headed back to the orthodontist and parked (cautiously) in the parking lot. I took a look at my bumper, and lo and behold, it was practically unscathed. One piece of the bumper was popped out, but a simple push popped it back in.
When my daughter came out, I triumphantly told her that Scarlett's bumper was practically perfect in every way. I wondered aloud what the other... person's... car looked like. My daughter informed me that she had seen the bumper as he drove away and it was dented.
Ha! Don't mess with a car named Scarlett! And bravo to Toyota bumpers.

Oh! I am so sorry that you had that trama. I really don't like accidents. They are so scary and a headach. I plan on never having one again!
